Steampunk Research: Steampunk weapons that were used in real-life

Here a a few steampunk looking guns that were actually used in real-life situations.

The key gun was first used by jailers in the 16th century, in case of trouble when opening a cell door.

The hand mortar a firearm used in the late 17th and 18th century to fire fused grenades. At least one version of the hand mortar was probably invented by John Tinker in 1681.

The Apache revolver is a handgun which incorporates a knuckle duster for the grip and a dual-edged knife made notorious by the French underworld figures of the early 1900s known as Les Apaches. The design dates from the 1860s, and is attributed to Louis Dolne. The gun was manufactured until the end of the 1800s.
